Treibach Althofen

Successful construction progress of Carinthia’s largest photovoltaic plant!

Treibach, Althofen: The large-scale PV project in Treibach, Althofen, is progressing according to plan and is something to be proud of. In cooperation with Treibacher Industrie AG (TIAG), KPV Solar is building an impressive photovoltaic power plant here. On an area of seven hectares, more than 13,000 modules are being erected on two sub-areas with a total of 734 module tables with 18 modules each. With an output of 7.3 MWp, the plant will produce around 8.5 GWh of electricity per year, covering almost ten percent of the company’s electricity needs and saving 5,760 tonnes of CO2 per year.

A special highlight are the 22 module tables on the south side of the 250m long noise wall. The previously fallow area of the 33° sloping earth wall will be ideally used for electricity production in the future. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of August 2023.
